I found a carousel for my brushes and pens yesterday. I was perusing one of my favorite stores - TJMaxx and had decided to put back a $7 item since I didn't have cash. I spotted it on an aisle on the top shelf. I was not looking for one there, was going to look at Hobby Lobby. There were several there in natural, white and a dark wood. It really wasn't a good price to me but liked it so much I paid $19 for it. Usually I find when I walk away from something that I like to look at other places first...I find myself going back to get it. Waiting to complete my workspace organization before taking photos.
We have been making up for the past two years drought and when we have a day or two without rain it is awesome! I have never been so tired of the rain. Apollo is not fond of going out to do his business either and of course all the grass coming into the house-more fun. Two days ago the water was up and some areas around us were flooding. We had lots of new washed out potholes but they were filled this morning as I drove VolleyGirl to school. Just look at the sunshine that greeted us!
thanks so much for your regular visits to my blog...i love visiting yours too but shamefully this is the first time I've left a comment. I really love your art and enjoy your 'slice of life' musings. Happy New Year xxx
ReplyDeleteCool brush caddy. I am still working on my room. Woke up this morning and decided we had to move things around again. It isnt jelly with me yet. but it will.
ReplyDeleteOnce I figure the lay out then he will build me the shelves. At least I am not caring if it is crummy out. :) Looks like you have lots of water now. Isnt the sun so nice after it rains for so long? we can hardly stand to be in the house on a clear day. Altho cold. lol
oops.. that was supposed to be It isnt jelling with me yet. no jelly. lol
ReplyDeletei am going to borrow cris's phrase, 'things aren't jelly' with me yet this year either...oh well.... like your brush holder, bet it won't stay clean for too long! hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks anjou for leaving a comment, just love your work. Cris, it will come together.....soul, I am still jelly, my family said today, "snap out of it!" I snapped my fingers, still jelly.
ReplyDeleteHi Artist, I've seen you commenting on my blog a few times, (thank you for stopping by) and I wanted to drop in to your little corner of the world.
ReplyDeleteLove your little paintbrush carousel! So much better than the peanut butter jar that I use. I'm like you in that I pretty much know to go ahead and get the first thing I like, because looking at all the rest is a waste of time.
I sketch and paint too - when I have the time! And no artist can ever have enough carousels for brushes!
ReplyDeleteLove the carosel and the pics!
