Thanks alot mom.....had a rythmic, pleasurable sleep going on this morning until that flashing light disrupted it. Now that I'm awake for a few brief seconds, let me wish continued healing and love to dearest Annie from her surgery and hello to all my friends out there: Snickers, Emma, Luna, Buddy, Dizzy, Penney, Tonka, Hope, Trixie, Bella, Zoe, Chief, Sophie and Snickers!!!!

Dogs On Thursday

Raise the woof! My best buddy, seen above at his last departure, comes in today! That can mean only one thing........PARTY YOUR PAWS OFF! I used to party my tail off, now, I'm down to a nub.

This past week has had some memorable moments. Like this one, when mom had a cup of my dry dog food, that they pass off as "treats", to give me as she worked on the laptop in the den. "Bring it on mom, don't make me go for it!!!!"

She can't stand it when moi gets in her chair after she briefly walks out. Something about having at least one "hair free chair" she says.......what good is a chair without hair? It gives me pleasure to grind her gears though.

Huh, first time I've tried this resting place, different, but comfy. HEY! Who the heck chewed on the piano bench? I demand answers! I'll have someone's tail over that........wag your tails my friends having a good time with your buddies, especially Snuffles, Annie, Emma, Luna, Snickers, Buddy, Dizzy, Penney, Tonka, Hope, Trixie, Bella, Zoe, Chief and Sophie!

Best Buddy was home for a long visit but before he left I was given a "royal dip". It is soooo much fun to play with the towel afterwards!!!

That Best Buddy....I could just eat him up, I love him so much! (I think he really likes me too!)

The bath and playtime just can wear a royal canine out though......

Mom was gone all day today and I was really happy to see her tonight, getting all the petting I could from her...when she was available! Here's hoping that all my good friends out there are getting all the petting that is allowed...go for it Snuffles, Annie, Emma, Luna, Snickers, Dizzy, Friday, Penney and Tonka! Dogs On Thursday: Coping

I do miss my best buddy, known to you all as BigBoy. Bounding with energy and ready to play is how I feel when he is around. Though, moments of boisterous play and hijinks hit me, sometimes I just sit and look out the big window.

Even as I look like a real-life keychain here, it's hard to hide my royalty!

Well, wouldn't all that make YOU tired too???? May all my friends' days be filled with adventure, especially Snuffles, Annie, Luna, Emma, Tonka, Snickers, Dizzy, Friday and Penney. We are still thinking of you Julie........

Dogs On Thursday: Tongues Are Wagging!

Best Buddy wanted to get me in the photo with him and his (my) cake. I wonder why he didn't get closer and hold the pose longer, he seemed so timid about it! Boy, I could smell that sugar......grew tired just hyper-flaring my nostrils, I did!

Yeah, right, the water really quenched my desires!

Whew, I get dog tired after some playing with my buddy. Now where did that water go?

Yum, yum! What can be better than a bone? Well, two, of course! I wanted to bite that blue bone right off the cake!

Shhhhhh, I need my beauty rest now. Big snore out to Snuffles, Annie, Emma, Tonka, Luna, Presley, Dizzy, Friday, Penny and Snickers! I must add that I was not tongue tied yesterday, the silly photo upload wouldn't work - and I know my paw was hitting the right buttons!

Dogs On Thursday: "Oh Happy Day!"

A few days ago, I helped mom wrap some birthday gifts for my best buddy. Wow, it was lots of fun and it was very obvious she appreciated it.

Tonight my best buddy needed me to help him unwrap the gifts. Heh, heh...why does one go to the trouble to create work for someone else? People, they don't have the sense of a dog!

Words cannot express my happiness today for my beloved best buddy's arrival home after three l-o-n-g weeks so I shall not attempt. Just watch.........

I have him for the next few days. Mom and the girl that pets me so daintily will be at some ball thing all day long Saturday. Wishing all my fur buds a happy day, especially Snuffles, Annie, Luna, Emma, Tonka, Presley, Dizzy, Friday, Penny and Snickers!

Dogs On Thursday: I am complex....

Perhaps it is time that I correct some misconceptions about myself this week. First off, I am much more than just a pretty face that rules with an iron paw....

There are many layers, some of them not visible to the eye. My intellectual depth is greater than many of my four-legged peers. Most every day, I take the time to gain knowledge through television viewing. Yeah, yeah, I've heard the criticisms of late; that it turns the brain to mush, but I must disagree with this view....there is much to be learned about our two-legged servants from this media box.

Cleansing of the mind and smell therapy- which is 'relaxation through smell' can be attained through daily strolls lasting all of five invigorating minutes on the sidewalk. Exercise is a must! I find, as a bonus, that it boosts best buddy's self-esteem to provide these moments for moi!

These glorious strolls enhance quality rest as well.

Tonight, I struck a magnificent, if not majestic pose near BigBoy as he worked on his laptop. Then, suddenly, I was just as quickly struck with fatigue and managed this pose for mom just before lying down on the couch. It has been an average week for me, IF one could ever consider my life average. Don't settle for the average, canine friends. Don't just stop and smell the roses, for heaven's sake - SMELL EVERYTHING! Now go forth and lead your life with your nose Snuffles, Annie, Luna, Emma, Penny, Tonka, Presley, Friday, Dizzy and all you other canines! (Caution! Pay NO attention to that 'lapis-eyed' cat's words on the top right corner in the right column.......I will chase him tomorrow!)

Whew! Okay, that pretty much did it for me for a couple of hours. Before dozing off though let me tell Snuffles, Annie, Emma, Luna and the rest of my four-pawed friends hello!

Dogs On Thursday: Crazy Days

'Holy tufted throne!' It has been so crazy around this pint-castle that 'me lady' nearly overlooked my weekly report!!!!! No wonder with all the pounding and knocking above this place. It has me a bit puzzled but my best buddy has taken care of me royally, doting on me especially......I hardly leave his side? 'Hey what are you doing with my blue bone up there?'

Ha, ha, ha, buddy spilled my water and it was great fun catching hold of that towel....'come on, pull!'

'Those unknown dudes get here really early in the mornings to start the pounding and pestering noise......................................till we meet again........special bark out to Snuffles, Emma, Annie, Luna and all you foxy felines!

Dogs On Thursday: Highs and Lows

Yesterday my best buddy and dad were gone ALL DAY making it one of those sad days...

It's like the 'J' is missing from the joy when they are gone and I just kind of forget my position of canine royalty and sort of shlump about. Mom kept snapping that #!*! camera at me.......

Today is fantastic though, with my morning little walk that BigBoy took me on allowing me to take care of business and breathe in those awesome outside odors!

Ahhhhhh, relaxation once again comes easy when all is as it should be in my kingdom. Big woof to all you four-legged subjects, especially Snuffles, Annie, Luna and Emma! Til' we meet again.........
