Head iin the Clouds

Finally finished this 16x20 acrylic painting. Lots of fussing went along while doing these trees.....definitely getting some new brushes asap!!!!! I love clouds, snapping photos of them to the nauseation of my family at time.....my favorite is trees against the skyline, so I will probably be doing more. Below is one I did a couple of years ago taken in almost the same spot during the fall.

SkyWatch Friday (on Sunday)

My dad referred to these clouds as "mare tails".....said it meant rain would come in the next three days. Two of these are almost alike but it was so pretty I thought it was worth it. There's a little rainbow spectrum that can be seen in the first and third photo. These are fresh snaps...just taken a couple of hours ago as I arrived at the grocery parking lot.....have got quite a few good ones there in past! Go see more sky photos at http://skyley.blogspot.com/.

SkyWatch Friday

I loved the variation of clouds and colors in the sky one day this past week. Hope you enjoy it too!!! View some beautiful skies at http://www.skyley.blogspot.com/.

Will be at a volleyball tournament all day today. The team had their first two matches of the season Thursday night and won them both! One of them was their biggest rival. Have a great Saturday...catch up soon!

SkyWatch Friday!

Here are two photos I took today with my trusty cellphone. Please check out
http://skyley.blogspot.com/ for more eyes on the skies!
I am sorry that I have not left many comments lately. Whatever is going on with me has me feeling exhausted all the time. I have been just keeping up with my cooking and washing, 14 loads this week. To be fair, one load was sheets and one load was royal towels from His 'Hine'ness' bath. I had to go give more blood at the lab today, she poked my vein and lint came out.............ha! Get this, the Dr. wants to totally rule out mono........now where on earth would I get that......I do not believe it will be that at all. Anyhow, this is why I have been very lean on comments....all I want to do is lie(sp?) down. Don't everyone forget and give up on my site.......just temporary! Happy Skywatch Friday!

SkyWatch Friday!

These were taken not too long ago, looks like the camera is moving, but it's not. The clouds looked smeared across the sky.
This one was taken early in the evening beside my house as I took the Canine Messsiah out. Go to http://skyley.blogspot.com/ for more sky photos!

My Head's in the Clouds

We had rainy, stormy weather blow through Saturday which made for some awesome clouds!
VolleyGirl and I went to Walgreen's to purchase a birthday card and all I wanted to do was look at the clouds and take photos. Sadly, we were in a bit of a hurry.

My head was spinning from looking in all the directions at the different shades and shapes. These are only the tip of the 'cloudberg'!
I took these with my cellphone. There are a few more on my cellphone but for some reason this morning they are failing to send to my email....argh!
The photos do not do justice to the various shades and beauty. I was taking them as we headed out for dinner in the early evening.....
My family is accustom to my constant sky/cloud photos but gives me a hard time about it.......doesn't deter me however!
Have household duties today and tomorrow but hopefully I can fit it some drawing later.......have a great Monday!

Unbelievable......Actually Painted Today!!!!!!!

Hope you are sitting down....I actually started a painting today (sorry VolleyGirl, Maytagaramas can wait-a little). I LOVE clouds I've taken hundreds of photos. This is from one of them. It is a bit difficult to see the rays coming through at the bottom.

Broadening Broad

Late Monday, as I took Apollo for a bathroom break, the sun was headed out for the evening. I loved how the pink and dark blue clouds hung just above the tree line down the end of the cul de sac. It looks like we have a nice snow on the ground from this drawing, but sadly we don't. I may fill it in, eh, uh- probably not, as I will move on to the next drawing. I have been inspired and very humbled by seeing amazing art and hearing about those of you who read books, magazines and take classes, etc., etc. I can't tell you how long it has been since I have done any of those things. You have thrown the match and lit a fire under me (or at least started a smolder!) I am joining my local art league so that I may take a class in the near future and begin a more strenuous effort to improve and widened my abilities. This drawing was created with colored pencils and ink. Thanks to you all for your daily inspiration!!!
Tomorrow Apollo has a special treat (not a dog treat, he's nice, but not crazy) for "Dogs On Thursday" featuring his best buddy!!!
