Bountiful Blessings

Cooking away, no time to sketch, so posting a sketch from a few years ago. It really doesn't have to be a holiday for me to be thankful to all my friends in the blog world but you are most appreciated and enjoyed. Wishing each and everyone of you a very safe, blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! (even if your country doesn't celebrate it...have an awesome week!)

Fruits of My Labor

Finished this 8x10 acrylic painting just before the painting I am working on now. I have been committed, uh, er, that was supposed to be I have committed to participate in our local street festival Oct. 1st and am furiously working on more pieces. My painting is slow and would like to have one or two more in addition to pencil, color pencil and some ink work. This strawberry is a companion piece to the banana painting below. May try to do another pair, haven't decided what yet. Tomato and lettuce? Green and red grapes? Peppers? We'll see.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Still Fruity......

Keeping with the fruit theme at the moment. This is 8x10, acrylic on canvas board. Only difficulties encountered with painting this banana was my prop kept changing every time I returned to work on it! ;) What do you think I am working on now to pair with this? Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock - yes! Bonus points for you! Strawberry. Hmmmm, thinking perhaps a heart shaped strawberry cake for VolleyGirl and Mr. Unplugged for the V'Day weekend....but then I would devour over the limit, contributing to my thin challenged, soul receptacle, which only hinders my sorry, broken down knee. Today, a cocktail of WD40 and pain meds would not begin to touch the worn out hinge.
